Transparency International calculates the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), which ranks countries based on how corrupt their public sector is perceived to be. It is a composite index – a combination of polls – drawing on corruption-related data collected by a variety of reputable institutions.
In the most recent report, Denmark and New Zealand are the World's least corrupt countries, each with scores of 9.3 out of 10 on the CPI, while the most corrupt country by far was Somalia, scoring just 1.1.
