The FBI estimates that 600,000 bitcoins are owned by Ross Ulbricht, the alleged mastermind of online drug marketplace the Silk Road.The bitcoins are encrypted and cannot be easily accessed. Currently, they are worth around $60 million and represent approximately 5 percent of the entire market.
