Stripper-nomics

The strip club business is not a classy one, but it is a business nonetheless. In fact, in the U.S., it's a 5 billion dollar per-year industry. But did you know....

-in the year after the Financial Crisis, more strip clubs closed than opened
-that premium strippers can make $1000 per-night on weekends
-that "ugly strippers" outearn "average-looking strippers"
-that the demand for strip-clubs is inelastic
-that strippers typically work on an incentive system
-that most strippers come from poor backgrounds and dabble in prostitution to supplement their incomes
-that as independent contractors, strippers are required to fill out 1099-MISC's and can deduct any work-related expenses, like tear-away pants and 8-inch glass heels
