A freethinker like Robert Ingersoll would have no influence with the majority of our electorate. Our cultural dependency on the necessity of faith is affecting our society and not for the better.

According to a University of Tampa study, not taxing churches is taking an estimated $71 billion from our federal coffers every year, which means other taxpayers make up the difference or do without the services that may have been financed with that $71 billion.
