Here's to the Ladies

Women make up a small, but growing percentage of economists. One prominent organization that supports women in the economics profession is the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession.

CSWEP is a subcommittee of the American Economics Association. It publishes a newsletter thrice annually, organizes sessions at the annual meetings of the AEA and other regional economics associations, runs mentoring workshops, and publishes an annual report on the status of women in the economics profession.
