The Boss

Whether you like to admit it or not, bosses matter, as there is substantial variation in worker productivity directly attributable to boss quality.

A good boss adds as much as 10% to his team's productivity, is a prime-mover teaching useful skills that persist among colleagues and staff, and allocates more time to good workers than bad, as a good boss' impact on productive workers is more profound than on less productive workers.
