Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend

The Minneapolis-based firm Ginger Consulting offers up a new nickname for powerful female consumers in its fourth annual “What Women Want” survey.

According to the survey, so-called Alpha women are buying mostly luxuries like new apparel, spa visits, massages, and dining out. In fact, 41% of Alphas would choose their smartphones over sex.
