Medical Researchers as Dishonest as Bankers

As one scientist commented, "The surest ticket to getting a grant or job is getting published in a high-profile journal".

With such perverse incentives at play, it is no wonder that a recent meta-study found that over 88% of path-breaking cancer studies were irreproducible. Yes, that is 47 out of 53 studies, which supposedly lay the foundation for cancer research, were not able to be repeated with the same results.
